Book a Consultation
To schedule an initial consultation, please fill out the contact form or call me at (929) 445-2221. If I am unavailable to answer your call, you can leave me a message on my confidential voicemail and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
What to expect
Typically, in the first few meetings, I gather information about your history, potential treatment goals, and determine whether I feel I can assist you. At the end of this consultation period, you and I will decide if it makes sense to proceed with treatment.
Individual psychotherapy sessions thereafter are 45 minutes in length and the duration of the treatment depends on each individual case. Additionally, I offer 60 minute couples and family therapy sessions. I also may offer phone sessions on a case-by-case basis.
Those covered by an insurance company with out-of-network benefits can receive substantial reimbursement for treatment, depending on the insurance company. Prior to your appointment, please inquire with your insurance company to see what your out-of-network coverage for mental/behavioral health services is. Reimbusify is a helpful resource for navigating the reimbursement process. You can also call your insurance company and ask them the following questions:
Do I have out-of network coverage for outpatient psychotherapy (CPT code 90837)?
What is my deductible and have I met it yet?
What is my coinsurance (% that your insurance company will pay after you deductible has been met)?
Payment will be collected each session and invoices will be provided at the end of the month. I accept cash, check, or Zelle (an app that transfers money between bank accounts for free).
I ask for 48-hours notice for cancellations, otherwise you are responsible for the cost of your session. There is no charge if you cancel with less than 48-hours notice and we are able to reschedule your session for the same week. Please note that insurance companies generally do not reimburse you for missed session fees.

"I worked with Dr. Jordana Jacobs at the start of a critical chapter in my life, just after moving to a new city to begin an intense program at a new school. With her attentive and friendly approach, Jordana helped me gain my confidence in this new setting, as well as within my personal relationships. By fostering a deep sense of safety in our sessions, Jordana also allowed me to discover my confidence as a patient in therapy. She quickly earned my trust through her genuine expressions of care, and our instant connection ultimately enabled me to feel comfortable opening up about deeper (previously unspoken) concerns. Jordana drew on her own experience and education to offer advice, but also knew when to give thoughtful recommendations for books and external perspectives that I could explore between sessions. Given her ability to comfort a patient while also challenging them to discover and embrace their genuine self, I trust that anyone fortunate enough to cross paths with Jordana will feel as grateful as I do to have worked with her." - Former patient
